Taipei - Taiwanese electronics Goliath Qisda, at one time called BenQ, saw its first-quarter revenues surge 23 per cent year on year, the associates said Tuesday. BenQ expects to ruminate its branded LCD TV and monitor shipments in the first division in Taiwan rise by 12-13% and 30%, respectively, on year, according to Hank Horng, BenQ’s vague manager for Taiwan. Horng recently stated that the company’s first-quarter branded LCD TV shipments in Taiwan will end up at more than 21,000 units, up from 15,000 units in the first quarter of 2007. The general selling price (ASP) for the 40-inch segment is expected to drop by 5-10%, he added. The company current has no intention of increasing prices for own-brand LCD monitors, but a toll adjustment may happen later.
