One handicap for many consumers bearing in mind the upgrade to a projector has traditionally been the throw distance; the distance from the wall needed to get a sharp, generous image. BenQ’s MP771 looks to change that with a short throw lens clever of displaying an impressive 71-inch image from just over one metre away. Not to be confused with a dedicated house cinema projector, the MP771 nevertheless does pack a few features that could take it out of the boardroom. While it doesn’t jut out HD (1920 x 1080) with its XGA resolution (1024 x 750), we found it to task well with media such as games and movies.
Most of the features on the MP771 are in line with its intended concern audience, and it includes a detachable keypad, corporate splash screen and a presentation timer. A cheerful brightness rating of 3,000 lumens makes it well-suited for business presentations in even the most brightly lit rooms or at nursing home where there is high ambient light. It weighs in at just over four kgs, making it lightweight enough to lug around. Connection-wise it supports standard RGB and DVI-I.

Strategy Analytics: Who Wants Motorolas Device Business? Losing Share, Bleeding Profit but Still a permissible bet? Boston - BOSTON — Motorolas statement that it will examine the realignment of its Mobile Device Business portion is the latest in a long list of partnership announcements in the high volume, steep R&D, volatile margin handset business, after Sony-Ericsson, Casio-Hitachi, Panasonic-NEC and most recently, Kyocera-Sanyo. Although this disclosure is sure to set off a frenzy of M&A speculation, an outright acquisition is highly unlikely. Any what it takes partnership should look at key factors, such as who would benefit most from a link with the falling falling star with still strong North American assets–but a weak 3G portfolio? There are, in truth, few handset vendors that can produce the price tag and the lessons from previous mergers; and joint ventures are indeterminate at best. Lessons can be learned from successful ventures like Sony Ericsson, as well as terrible failures such as Benq-Siemens.
So who might want Motorolas handset business? The shortest odds might be offered on rounded out service infrastructure vendors from Asia, while a minority position from someone who, opposite Motorola, knows how to do software is also a solid bet. David Kerr, Vice President of the Global Wireless Practice at Strategy Analytics, stated, Motorolas most depreciatory problem has been an inability to compact R&D cycles with commercial product cycles and a tendency to look for the homerun ball rather than getting on base. The wear few occasions where we have seen a major vendor delay product introductions and miss unexplored product cycles have ultimately resulted in consolidation. There are no quick fixes to a long neglected issue portfolio.

New Delhi: BenQ has launched its late short range digital projector the BenQ MP771. The new projector provides estimate for places where the projector has to be placed close to the screen. The BenQ MP771 projector’s short-throw correlation lens projects a picture of size 74” from a distance of 3.3 feet, overcoming break constraints that is a common problem in offices these days. ”Traditionally, it was thought that a big elbow-room is required for a projector to produce large sized image and a white screen for superior mental picture quality,” said Ish Bawa, marcom head, BenQ India. ”The BenQ MP771 combines the tranquillity of using the projector in a small room with better-quality image without a perfect chalky screen.
The new projector is particularly beneficial for those business houses, which have small and not-so mere meeting rooms.” Such a projector can be used inside museums, showcase displays, departmental stores, banks, hospitals and minute business houses where projectors have to be placed as near to the telly as possible. BenQ MP771 projects at native XGA (1024 X 76
explication and features a high brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens with a contrast ratio of 2000:1. Since the projector is equipped with short-throw correspondence lens, the quality of projection does not get affected with change in the group of hall/room or the distance between the projector and the screen.
